    Hi Folks and Mods,

Dont know if this is in the right place. Feel free to move it if you wish!

I am orig from ballymun so keep in touch with the area. I know of at least 20 people who went for jobs in Ikea and all of them bar one failed to get a job. Of that one only 20 hours were offered meaning they will loose there dole.

Has anybody been offered work with them

Where are you from if you have( Obv dont give exact address)

Has anybody been offered more hours than 20.

Why do I ask! Becuase the majority of work was ment to go locally but this does not seem to be the case to me!

    why what were the requirements?

you may have had the qualifications but somebody might have had more experience with the same qualifications.

But then he was under experienced, not under qualified.
(I understand your playing advocate, i am just joining in here.)
I have never been given a reason for not getting a job. In my experience your lucky to hear back at all. Once i got a rejection letter a year and a half after i was at an interview!!!

They where Maintaince specialist jobs, ive been doing it for years in retial shops. Didnt even get to the interview process. Heard similar storys from lads who went for the similar jobs. I think they where filled before they advertized the jobs.

Thats exactly what my letter said. ie under qualified., I have worked retail and trade years. I was looking for full and part time. I would have took anything but got nothing.

This is what I am trying to understand, what was actually offered!
