    Yo,

Myself and the gf have just gone through lego indiana jones in co-op and fairly enjoyed it..

So what i'm after now are any recommendations of other co-op games? I'm thinking of giving the lego batman one a crack.. just downloaded the demo the other night, so any other recommendations would be good.

This is co-op offline btw, if that makes any diff!

I enjoyed the co-op in Resident Evil 5... there's lots to talk about while you're playing, coordinating your movements, swapping ammo and things like that.

lego Indy is actually the poor cousin to batman and star wars in the lego series.
Honestly give star wars one ago good fun.
Then again probably too similar to play again.
Little big planet is good fun.
After that always buzz to play together is fun if your competitve plus you can play coop online in sofa to sofa

Sorry - forgot to mention I already have lbp :)

re5.. hah, I don't think that's something the gf would be in to unfortunately!

Yeah keen for the buzz idea, have been thinking about that actually, just struggling to find somewhere that has it for a decent price.

Pixeljunk Monsters has a pretty decent co-op mode I've heard. I love the single player. Be a nice cheap option too as it's on the PS Store.

Resistance Fall of Man i played co op offline with the missus, she loves killing aliens !
We got Resistance 2 and she didnt like that at all, cant play offline co op as far as i could tell.
Resident evil 5 i am playing co op with my bro at the moment, its good once you get used to the controls.
The GF doesnt like LBP at all, but i loved it.

    Army of Two

This game gets overlooked so much and I really can't understand why. The ability to either hit or congratulate your team mate depending on what they did in a situation was a nice touch imo. Also the aggro metre meant there was more to each level than just running and gunning.

i.e. myself and the friend I was playing with had to choose our roles before starting each level. I decided to invest in generating aggro while he invested in stealth, silenced weapons and sniper rifles. The ability to bling out your weapons to draw more attention was good also. You had to play a balancing game, keeping all the attention on yourself by taking risks, blindfire... etc, so that your team mate can flank and silently snipe them from behind.

OP, it's comparable to Gears of War. It excels in some areas over it, but lacks in others. All in all if you are looking for a coop experience I wouldn't pass it up.

EDIT: Also, OP, with your GF I'd also recommend playing "Spider-Man: Friend or Foe". I've played through the Lego games and LBP with the OH and she equally liked "friend or foe". It's the same format as Lego really (2.5d sidescrolling brawler) but I found it a lot more fun as you could coordinate attacks (i.e as Spiderman my OH would restrain the baddies with web, then as Rhino, when they where held in place I'd have time to use my much stronger melee attacks on them)

There is offline co-op, but it's not the actual game play through.
It's the same as the online co-op game.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is a cracking game and has offline coop for 2 players.

Good site for info on coop games:

It's more than manageable on normal. Hard is quite tough and expert is just insane. At least the boss attack patterns change from easy to normal to hard to keep things interested.

If you want a hard game in the genre try Contra: Hard Corp or Contra: Shattered Soldier. I've beaten both but it took quite some time.
