Julie played by Andrea Bowen will return, and Richard Burgi will be back to reprise his role as Karl for more than a few episodes, it looks like, as his romance with Bree (Marcia Cross) continues.
Maiara Walsh who plays Ana, Gabrielle’s (Eva Longoria) niece will now be a regular on the show.

Emmy-winning Sopranos heroine Drea de Matteo is joining the cast as Wisteria Lane's newest vixenish housewife.
De Matteo, who will be a series regular, will play the matriarch of a new Italian family.

I hope Karl and Mrs McCluskey and her sister are all made series regulars

It's pretty much just the same storyline as when she was jealous of Carlos' friggin guide dog and when she wanted the pregnant Chinese girl to do dusting.

As for Bree and Karl, could be interesting to watch her running around with her petticoat in a twist as he slurs vile drivel in her general direction.
Or maybe she'll go all psycho and start trying to replace Benjamin with his son in her mind.

A source close to the Desperate Housewives set tells us neither Teri Hatcher nor Dana Delany were actually at the altar, just to make sure no one would be able to spill the season-five cliffhanger. However, the source did spill a juicy tidbit that may be a clue as to who the new happy couple is: Following the car accident in the season finale, where Susan and Mike (James Denton) embraced, the script read, "The family is reunited." Could that point to Susan being under the veil?

Desperate Housewives newcomer Drea de Matteo is getting some on-screen family with the addition of Jeffrey Nordling and Beau Mirchoff as series regulars.
Nordling, fresh off his run as 24's Agent Larry Moss, will play the landscaper husband of de Matteo's brassy, Bronx-bred transplant to Wisteria Lane. Mirchoff in turn will play their 19-year-old son, who seems destined for possible romance with an "older woman" — meaning Susan's daughter Julie.

ABC's Desperate Housewives kicks off its sixth season on Sunday, Sept. 27.

RTE, it seems are in no hurry to show 09/10 season yet whereas last year They Started it very close after US Premiere. RTE being very unfair on fans re DH 09/10 Season it appears as things stand currently.

S06E20 - these flashback episodes are utter garbage! This show has jumped the shark completely and doesn't even have good characters. I only watch the show when the girlfriend watches it, so I'm not totally up to date on the story but I know about this storyline and it just seems so random to make the killer this kid.

I agree this week was utter garbage. The show is headed towards the axe if they don't improve things soon. I am getting sick of these 5 year earlier type episodes each week.

Yeah, pretty shockingly terrible.... well maybe not when compared to the season as a whole.

I knew the killer kid would end up delivering the baby. I didn't know the bomb was in the detonator, but I knew the kid/mother wouldn't die. I don't know why they got rid of Danny and family - honestly the most interesting characters this season.

I guess I did like the Scavos, but their finale was essentially nothing - same with Gabby/Carlos + family.

Who is going to be the child that is not really the right one? I hope it's that ****ing annoying little Delfino kid!!!

I has a feeling that they are being written out of the series.

I am getting that impression as well but isn't Teri Hatcher making the most out of this?

I thought from the age of the nurse that it will be an older child that would have been misplaced. Like maybe the older one of Gabbie's kids but that's to predictable.

I actually think, given Bree's current situation that it would throw a spanner in the works if it was Andrew that was the mistaken baby.

Gabby's kids look too similar to eachother tbh. All of the Scavos are pretty similar too. Writers would be grasping at straws for it to be either of them.

I think she paid of mike's debts. It all seemed a bit silly that they were suddenly broke.
