    How do insurance assessors work.?:confused:
    Is it typically a flat fee, or is it a percentage of the successful claim.
    I was told there are a good idea.
    This is for smoke damage to a house after a kitchen fire.

    Depends on the extent of the loss. For the usual burst pipe, small fire, storm claim it is based on the man hours involved and mileage to travel to the risk address. If it is a complicated claim requiring forensics, research, detailed report, it will be more
