Dell and dpd delivery

According to my dell order status my laptop was dispatched as of the 25th as was the case for it. On Friday I got a call from dpd saying they had a package for me.

I was delighted so I cancelled plans and waited for the courier for half the day only for him to turn up with just the case!:(:o

I was well disappointed but was expecting the laptop to arrive today at least. However I rang the depot at lunch time but they haven't gotten it yet. Should I be worried since both packages were dispatched on the same day?

A bit late but I suppose I will post anyway.Dell and DPD always mess orders up.I have been waiting for my laptop for a while now.Was dispatched 10 days ago and they wont even give me a tracking number so I can see where it is.As for being worried,I would be.DPD hire outside drivers from time to time and they have habits of taking things that have "DELL" written in huge letters across the box.

I made an order from Dell recently, and happen to have a contact in dpd, despite dell claiming to have dispatched my pc two weeks beforehand, dpd only actually picked it up from Dell a day before delivering it. I'd say Dell are being cheeky, and claiming to have given it to the courier when they haven't. Perhaps so they can cut down on the number of half-full shipments to Dublin or something.

    (Tinfoil hat time me thinks!)

No need for tin foil hats. I would agree with you. Lately Dell delivery times are rubbish. Don't order from them anymore because of it. 6 weeks to get a laptop is a terrible service.
