Return after 'Jones Fracture'

Hello all! I am hoping to return to training after a horrible fracture of my fifth metatarsal in my foot, also known as the dreaded 'jones fracture'. I got a screw put in about two months ago. It still pains me. I was training for the Dublin marathon at the time when it happened.

Anyway, the doctors at Tullamore are no help. I see a different person every time I go there. Anybody out there have this injury and have a screw put in? I looked on line, and lots of soccer athletes seem to suffer from it, but they don't seem to have problems getting right back to training, whereas i am still in pain.

    thanks for any suggestions.

I appreciate it must be frustating but we can't offer specific advice, for this reason.
