How to map a route on Google maps?

I know I did this before but can't figure it out. I want to plan a route on google maps. Start at point A, go via points B, C, D etc - end at E. Can anyone explain how to do it? Thanks

Use right click to select the origin and destination points. Then drag and drop to change the route.

Right click on map and select "get directions from/to here"
You get side menu and can "add destinations" drag them to different order if you want to change route. or drag the route to change it on the map and it will recalculate
