    These 2 fit my budget and needs but which to buy?
    what best for maps, updating,etc

    Go for the Garmin. They offer updates. Becker seem to issue the devices and then move on to a newer one.

    I bought the Garmin 255W, and its perfect. Was on the continent with it and it never missed a beat.Thumps up for anyone seeking a GPS.
