Summer Transfers Thread

Would be interested to see if people are betting on summer transfers.

I backed Ribery to stay at Bayern @ 6/1 last week on skybet. Did this after a report came out on comments by their president but sky hadn't changed the odds! Currently 13/8 and they are making sounds that they wont/dont need to sell him

Also backed villa at 9/2 to go to barca as I think if eto goes they will need to buy an out and out striker to replace him

Unless I get some insider knowledge a la Robbie Keane last summer it not something I'd risk money on.

It was 7/4 yesterday around 3pm. Dont have a clue what it was before but I would say surely 20/1. I reckon Owen looked at the odds, saw the best value, lumped money on himself and rang fergie:) having a medicl this morning apparantly and signing a pay as you go contract

got david villa at 9/2 to go to barca so hes looking good now at 4/6. I got ribery at 6s to stay at bayern, 50:50 I would say now, hopeful bayern keep showing the resolve they have so far.

I reckon there is value in the Tuncay market and gudjohson to some premier league team, possibly Villa

5/1 Tuncay to Pool, 5/1 staying at Boro. Not bad. Can't see much value anywhere though so I'll probably stay out.

I cant see him staying with boro. He is captain of his country, world cup year and there was a lot of speculation about him joining Chelsea last year. I'm a villa fan and he has been linked heavily in the last few days with us so I reckon top half EPL team will get him

In similar story to Owen last week and betting on skybet. Ribery was apparently 66/1 to join Liverpool early today and after some heavy betting his current odds are 8/13 clear favorite currently :eek:

I would be delighted if this is true, he's a fantasic player! No idea how Liverpool can afford it

Ribbery is not joining Liverpool in a million years, bookies are just protecting themselves.

Didn't Hicks sell his hockey team? and there's talk of an exchange including Kuyt, plus the whole transfer fee obviously!

he had to sell his hockey team to help get bank loan renewed for Liverpool. Doubt Kuyt would go, he just signed new contract 2 months ago. Think if anyone involved in swap it could be Veronin(just had successful loan spell in German league) or Babel(his chances are already limited at Liverpool but he is highly rated in Europe still)

Sorry to be pedantic but George Gillet sold the Canadiens to the Molson Brothers (who make Molson Dry, my favourite beer!). Tom Hicks still owns his hockey team, the Dallas Stars.

Huntalar is 5/6 to join stutgart at the moment. Real have accpeted a bid and Stutgart manager Babel is making positives sounds that he is going to sign this week... I reckon it is nailed on

I cant see Ageuro leaving Atletico this summer and he is 5/6

What do people think of Richard Dunne going to Aston Villa? He is looking likely to leave City and Villa need a centre half or 2 after Laursen retired and Zat Knight is expected to leave this week. @ 25/1 at the moment. I reckon he is too good to sign for Sunderland and I cant see him staying at City with them about to sign a few new centre halves

I have got nice bit on him now between 5/4 and 10/11 over the last few weeks, cant put anymore on him today as their is a limit you can bet on it.

There are still rumours around that Arsenal will bid and Roma but he has said that he would decide today and the report is coming from a stutgart based paper i think... So i reckon safe enough to assume its gone through
