Hey guys, first time posting in this section!!

just bought an iphone 3g over the weekend and basically was wondering if anyone could help me out..

basically, i'm just wondering if there is an application that will allow me to send a message from my laptop via my iphone?

i'm normally a nokia man and on the nokia pc suite, you have the ability to connect your phone up to the pc via usb and see your messages/contacts etc. and it also allows you to write and send messages from your laptop?

now, the only thing close to this i've found for the iphone is veency which i installed and tried but it keeps crashing, on some further investigation, it appears that this is happening because veeancy doesnt work with the 3.0 os yet and they're working for a fix.

but can anyone tell me if there is any way possible to do this?

    thanks in advance.

Haven't seen a method yet without jailbreaking but then again haven't really looked either.

For sending text messages from my laptop I use JSMS which uses the free texts you get with your account each month. You do need to be online (tethering with iPhone when out and about?) and it works on both Windows / Mac. Not exactly what you are looking for but it does work.

A great free application is available called iPhone PC Suite (no jailbreak required).

Download Link! Here's more information and download links!

Not too sure if this is the same app (haven't got an iPhone at the moment) but check it out - http://flmsdown.net/software/32387-iphone-pc-suite-1.0.7.2.html

    cheers for the reply lads,

i just want to send them from my laptop as its quicker to type them up instead of having to type them on the phone, i dont use the webtexts as i can only send one message at a time and normally my messages are at least 2 or 3 texts long..

just read a few reviews about iphone pc suite there, might give it a try but not sure..

any other apps people know of/have experience with?
