Just out of curiosity what are you're thoughts on the Black Enertainment Television awards (BET)?

I find it interesting that if there was a White Entertainment Televison awards there would most likely be uproar from all walks of life, with shouts of 'racism' etc.

Most other TV awards are white TV awards aren't they?

Never watched BET awards but Aaron McGruder hates 'em and he's my source for black culture so I'm staying away from them.

Minorities tend to have their own award shows so not a big deal. There's plenty of Irish language ones here for example

That and the skinny one has been sick ever since he worked that 49 hour shift over christmas.

But only in some parts of Ireland are the Irish in the minority, Parnell St & Blanchardstown for example - and most taxi ranks, otherwise we're still in the majority.

MOBOs are a joke, if you seperate out classical trad/folk and electronic, all mainstream music is of black origin via jazz and blues so the show awards should feature loads of whites as well. Instead you just get the odd "token" whitey like Amy Whitehouse and Tim Westwood

Since black are lesser than white people they need their own award show. I've no issue with that
