Need advice - girlfriend moving away for college

    alrite guys need advice...

    im with my girlfriend 4 years and this years she moving away for college.. the longest we have been apart in the whole 4 years was a week.. i love her and i know she loves me, but i feel like im holding her back for living her life.. were gettin on so well now, i have trouble trusting women ever since my ex cheated on me wit my best mate on xmas eve.. and it taken me this long to find soeon who i trust again

    but i feel like if we stayed together i will be holding her back and if we stayed together she mite go off wit someone eles.. what ye guys think?

    1. If she doesn't wanna be 'held back', she'll let you know. It's not for you to decide for her how to live her life. Are you projecting your issues onto her? Is it you who is going to feel held back? If so, don't push the burden of responsibility on to her. If you're really worried about holding her back, talk to her about it. After 4 years, you should have a pretty decent line of communication.

    2. Your insecurities... Get over it. I'd love to be more gentle but seriously, just get over it. If you worry about these things, they'll run you into the ground and ruin your relationship. You're with this girl for a reason and you've given no reason for not trusting her. In fact, you explicitly said that you trust her. Again, are you projecting?



    Need advice? Get these things straight in your head and then talk to your girlfriend. All the forum posts in the world are meaningless next to a little self-analysis and communication with your GF.
