My Granny passed away this year (RIP), and I have being given her car.

I'm in the process in getting a replacement VRC as we cannot find the original in the house.

When the replacement cert comes I can send that off to change the ownership, but can i tax it when i send the cert off?? and can i insure it in the mean time??

and ideas how long with the replacement cert and change of ownership will take??

dying to get on the road!!

Was a statutory declaration sent to Shannon (obtained from them)? It's needed to get a copy of the VLC when the original is missing and the owner is deceased. An RF134 won't suffice.

Once it's gone to Shannon it should take the usual 3 weeks or so to get a replacement.
