Volkswagon Golf 12v Electric Problem

Hi All, Having a problem with my Golf. First the 12 socket lost all power, no idea how or why. Tried to figure it out but to no avail. Was fiddling around with the radio the other day and now its lost all 12v power. Anyone seen this before? It must be a fairly handy fix (I hope!!) have checked fuses but no luck there…

Hi All,

By any chance did you have a phone charger or similar pluged into it at the time?

I did plug a spotlight in the 12v socket, which did work but then stopped. Likewise with the radio, was trying to take a line off the power that goes into the radio to try run the same light.....same thing happened again.

Have checked the fuses, everything looks in order

Is there a fuse on the back of the radio or along the live from the fuse board to the radio?
