Weird taste in mouth after wisdom teeth extraction

I got all 4 wisdom teeth taken out last Monday. So far so good, seems to be healing up well. But I have developed this horrible taste in my mouth that seems to be coming from the back of my mouth. What could it be? I'm going to get the stitches out on Tuesday, but could it be an infection?

It is likely the stitches dissolving.
