I have completed my theory and am applying for my learners permit... just realised that you have to have you permit 6 months before you can apply for your test! Is this still applicable if I held a UK provisional for a few years? Is there anyway to appeal it and get it quicker... I'm 3 months pregnant and moving to the country so really need to drive!!

    Thanks

You can't take the test until you've held your permit for 6 months but you can apply before that. If your test date comes up before the 6 months you'll have to move it. Fraid there's no way around it.

Doesn't matter if you're Jesus christ himself - you have to wait the 6 months.

Unfortunately your UK Provisional license does not make any difference in Ireland, so i'm afraid you have to wait 6 months before you can sit your test. You can apply whenever you like.
