If you are an outdoorsy type and you like doing different things with your dog, the Walk on the Wild Side Event 2009, hosted by Sled Dogs Ireland - Irish Federation of Sleddog Sports will be taking place this August Bank Hol weekend. It is an overnight trekking event where both dog and owner can participate, being led into the mountains by an experienced guide. It will be a great opportunity to meet like minded people, and to have some fun in the great outdoors. A moderate level of fitness will be required from both dog and person as there will be quite a bit of walking involved. All breeds are welcome to participate.
