How could I incorporate color into my kitchen with out firstly breaking the bank and secondly how could "I" do it. After all I am no interior designer. Searching for kitchen decorating ideas nearly drove me insane, i have very small nooks of my kitchen its not so big as seen in studio kitchens. I need an importantly advice on colors, suggestions for storage and visual effects that I could use in my kitchen and besides that do you prefer to use Fine Bone china Items or Glassware or Stainless Steel Dishware into your kitchen?

Why don't post a picture of your kitchen, then people could throw you ideas. It's hard to offer you advice not knowing what type of kitchen you have, modern or traditional, what colour/material the units are, countertop and floor. Do you want to repaint it?

Sometimes kitchen catalogues from the likes of B&Q or Homebase can give you inspiration.

Some time ago I saw a kitchen with lilac walls. It was a light tone of lilac and it looked so relaxing while so modern that I thought that has to be my next colour for a kitchen. If you like white cupboards that will be an easy match. And some cupboards can have glass doors with light inside which gives a really nice touch.

Couple of canvases with colour/pictures on them
    Colourful flowers
Go into Hickeys and have a look for nice material to make into table cloth/cushions/chair covers
    Place mats
Feature wall - with wall paper? or a design? or local artist impression of area?
Plant some flowers from seeds on the window in the kitchen
    Nice scented candle
Paint walls neutral shade if you cannot choose one colour then accessorise with colours
    Colourful crockery (cups/plates/glasses)
