Speakeasy or Pay monthly?

Pondering on getting a 3GS. Can anyone tell me if i would be better off getting either the Speakeasy option or the pay monthly option? Are there any pro's/con's between either option?

Data is much more expensive on speakeasy. For that reason alone I would go pay monthly, although I'd use data more than I'd text or make calls. I send most of my texts as data also using Eirtext pro, so that also helps

or you could just go speakeasy, unlock (when available) and go with three...9.99 for 1gb of data.
