can't sync music to iphone

    Hi, I transferred itunes library to external hard drive to save disc space and when I tried to sync new music I'd added it said "some items from itunes library were not copied to iphone because they cold not be found" NO MUSIC was copied at all. I copied itunes library back to "my music" on pc but still no luck. I've been trying to sort this for 5 hours now and the day is wasted!! I've checked the .itl file is correctly selected (I think), I've uninstalled and reininstalled itunes. All of the tracks in itunes library on pc have a n (!) in front of them. From research it seems the problem may be that there are more library and itunes can't select?? I don't know but it's driving me crazy.

    PLEASE HELP!!!

    How did you move the files? The ! means that the files are not where iTunes expects them to be.
