    World Wrestling Entertainment
has changed the names of several upcoming PPVs.

The 10/4 No Mercy event is now re-titled "Hell in A Cell". WWE had been toying with doing a Hell in A Cell-themed PPV for several weeks with the top matches featuring the company's top gimmick match. Where that leaves the planned Randy Orton vs. Triple H Hell bout that at one point was planned for Summerslam is unknown at this time.

The Cyber Sunday gimmick PPV also appears to be out the window at first glance, as the 10/25 PPV has been re-titled "WWE Annihilation."

I don't like the idea of Hell in a Cell being used as a PPV theme rather than the blowoff of the biggest feuds.

Terrible idea, would that mean every match on the card would be a HIAC match, just like the Lock Down PPV?

I'd imagine it would be one, maybe two like No Way Out.

More than once a year is a bad idea for a match like that. Loses it's appeal very quickly if it's overused.

bad idea if it happens, I wonder did WWE really just think hmm Lockdown seems to work for TNA why not just top that with HIAC the PPV. I dont like the idea of lockdown to begin with but this is even worse as it cheapens argueably the biggest gimmick match they have which shoul only v rarely be used to culminate huge feuds.

Insane if they go through with it, it’s the one match that has not lost none of its mystique and should only be used to include a heated main event programme. I mean seriously we could have the likes of Maryse v Kelly Kelly in HIAC!

It says the "top matches" using the HIAC theme. So at the very most I'd say both title matches would be in the cell. But even then, its too much. Every couple of years is plenty for Hell in a Cell, thus keeping it for the special blow-off to a feud.

Well that’s what you get for not reading the OP first:o. I was warming to the idea of a diva’s match in HIAC, for the comedy value alone.

It could be just be a one off. WWE have so many PPVs now they need something to make them stand out.

Next year they could bring in another theme.

I can't see WWE looking for ideas from TNA I dont think they take TNA seriously at all because the company is so infant.

I don't think it's that, more that Lockdown isn't a success for TNA

WWE just want more gimmicks to their shows to get the buyrates back up I think. It's why their house show tours later this year are being called "DX Tour" and "Undertaker RIP Tour" rather than the usual names, it creates a bit of a new hook that might make fans think that they're seeing something out of the ordinary

tbh i wouldent know enough about tna to know if it is a success or not as i dont watch it but if fozzy says so id guess it aint but although WWE may not see TNA as competition (and rightfully so) itd be nieve imo to think they dont look at TNA and wouldent steal their ideas if one was good enough.

I wouldn't say its a terrible idea to have a Hell in Cell PPV...if they have good quality matches, it will be fine. I know with the way WWE have been in past few years, thats a big "if". I enjoyed No Way Out this year, so if it is at the same level, I will be quite happy!
