O2 aren't a disgrace.....both a joke

    Yesterday i bought the new iphone 3gs at 11.45.

    Alll paperwork was received and it was approved ( i was standing beside my best mate when it did it all.....3 times as the O2 faxes kept going down). I was told it would take some time to port over from Meteor. Which was fine as it was busy.

    Now come this morning and my mate rings to tell me it will be Monday before it goes live......4 DAY AFTER I BOUGHT IT.

    1st excuse was that it was perviously part of a multi line account and these can only be done on week days:rolleyes:

    2nd excuse was that the documents were never received and approval was never given. Even when i heard it myself.

    3rd excuse was that my wifes number was ported over. But this was done a month ago and nothing else was showing up.

    4th excuse was back to 1st excuse in a way because they said they lost all the paperwork yesterday and said it was too late and that i would have to wait until Monday to be ported.

    All excuses were different phone calls this morning to staff in O2.

    So after all that can i trust o2 to provide the service so should i just tell them to stick it in the nicest way possilbe ?

    Why launch a phone on a Friday if you can gurantee it will be live in 24 hrs because that area isn't open on at weekends ?

    Why give 4 different excuses ??

    Why have stores open at weekend if you can't service the customers wishes ??

    Why does the left hand not have a clue what the right hand is doing?

    In a word, why not pull your finger out and get the job done O2 !!!

    sorry to hear that, I'd certainly advise anyone porting a number to do it on a weekday and make other arrangements for your calls, I had similar issue last year and my number was down for a day or so during the porting.

    I did, but to no avail. A day i don't mind....but Friday at 11.45 am to Monday is beyond what i consider a reasonable time frame.

    apologies, I meant a weekday but not a friday! Ideally a tuesday.

    Just an update that i've been told by O2 that it will Tuesday before it now goes live.............5 days:rolleyes:

    More cock and bull and pointless apologies........

    Everyone else is to blame apart from O2.....:mad:

    It was Apple that initially announced the launch dates for the handsets around the world (which O2 went with). I do agree though from past experience that porting over a weekend is a bad idea with O2 and definitely advise people to go on a Tuesday or Wednesday
