I like the Fallons/Gill and Macmillan/Folens geography and history books that were used in the national school system? possibly printed between 1973 - 1976. The photographs were interesting, all black and white. Some books had cartoon drawings which were laughable, cartoons that you wouldnt find anywhere else in the print media. I also had a maths book called maths in action 1,2,3 with loads of illustrations of people with outlandish clothes and big shoes.............so these must have been commissioned from the same artist.

However there is one book Im looking for, it has a picture or drawing, I think ,of a CIE train on the cover and in one of the pages, there are various pictures taken around Ireland, one of these pictures features a couple standing next to a Ford Consul Capri, a 2door coupe from 1961-1964 with the passenger door open, they are looking at a roadmap and in the background is a signpost featuring Cork. This very same signpost is at the bridge outside Coachford in Co Cork today but Im trying to think what school book it was in... any ideas? I think its a geography book....
