    Hi,

I'm flying to Stockholm on Tuesday and so I'm trying to book accommodation. Slightly wary doing it because it's one of the only places that nobody I know has visited.

I'm looking for a hostel, located somewhere central? Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Thanks a mill!

    Hi

    Try hostelworld.com for bookings etc

    http://www.hostelworld.com/hostels/Stockholm

STF Fridhemsplan is probably the best one,

There is Citylodge near the train station!

    Hope this helps.

It will be dark almost all of the day if you go in winter. It is a paradise on earth Stockholm. Everybody is gorgeous and friendly. Every path and building is so clean and new looking. Nightlife is a bit **** but then when it is night during the day surely then the nightlife is better. We stayed in the Backpacker's Inn which was beside a shopping centre and not too far from a subway station. Not sure if it is open outside the summer months

Eh I stayed in 3 hostels in stockholm and didn't go wrong.

Citybackers was really nice, big, friendly and has a sauna for like 1:50 or something.

Its 5 minute walk from the central station and 30 seconds from a fountain I don't advise you swim in...

Right in the center of the old town there is a little gem called "castania" or something similar. I guess the facilities lack slight, its almost self service, but it has a kitchen and full rooms and some other banter. Whats amazing is that is essentially like having a hostel above "the temple bar" in temple bar.

Is stayed in city hostel as well. Although close enough to the central station it was a bit of a trek to the centre. Everything was new and it was pretty reasonable.

PS Any hostels i came accross in Scandinavia dont provide linen in the price, you have to pay extra for it or bring your own. They wont let you use sleeping bags and will fine you if you try.
