putting seats in commercial

    was wondering is it expensive to put seats in a commercial was looking at 07 santa fes and there is a considerable difference in price in commercials and passenger models. is it much hassel to do and what way are you with insurance

    Very expensive to buy rear seats, rear side airbags also may have to be coded to car ECU. Removing floor is prob simple enough. Make sure to check that rear seat belts are intact otherwise these also expensive to replace.
    After all that you would have to pay the difference in VRT between comercial & pass. prob bringing price up to comparable passenger version.
    ring all those with pass. looking fo rbest price i'm sure you wud get a good discount on a 2.2 SUV in this market

    The santa fe is converted here but the seatbelt mounts are welded shut and the airbags are removed afaik. you would spend as much in vrt, converting back and re fitting it to passenger spec as you would just buying it in passenger. also converting back the commercial will leave you having the back of a car that looks awful considering the carpet is cut, the interior rubber removed off the windows, metal welded to the windows and the windows sprayed black inside, it would not hold any kind of resale value
