    just stood on my 3 month year old laptop and broke the internal screen, help!
    anyone know where i can ge ta replacment screen fitted without donating a kidney?

    No kidneys required. Ebay if ya fancy doing it yourself or plenty of repair shop will do it cheaply. Don't go back to manufacturer of laptop.

    its a HP LGR1 i think, brother says he'd sourced someone for me but its probably just one of his dodgy mates who'd try to sell me something that fell off the back of a lorry!

    Dont get anything without a guarantee. Its easier in the states tbh. Lots of websites to shop around. I got a 90 day warranty that covered the replacement of any screen with more than 3 dead pixels (ended up with 1). Some will guarantee all pixels, but are more expensive. And you dont have that many options in ireland, unless you source a UK or EU vendor. In the end I paid $190 for mine, incl shipping.
