trade what road bike for 07 Langster?

So, I have an 07 Langster, the burnt red/brown one like what unionman has. I also got the Masi and a self-build (my pride and joy), so I was thinking I would like to trade the Langster for a road bike (althought regrettably of late I am finding the frame on the Masi a little bit too small perhaps).

What should I be asking for, or looking out for?
Whats a decent equivalent road bike?
I have had good experiences riding Specializeds before, I rented an Allez (dont know the exact model but it was white and red) when cycling around Bloomington, Indiana, and found it quite appealing, but I imagine there's a bit of a price difference between that and the Langster.

I'd probably be willing to cough up a couple of hundred euro to make up any difference.

I should really just read the other "what road bike?" threads, shouldnt I...

250-350 is what I would ask for a second hand one. Seeing as it is 07, that would probably knock it down to 250-300 depending on condition.

They cost about 500 new right?

You would probably be best off just selling the Langster and buying a road bike, otherwise you need to find someone who coincidentally happens to have an entry-level road bike the same size as your Langster and wants to swap the other way.

Money was invented to get around this problem.

What size is your Langster BTW?

I was thinking 200-250 for the Langster, depending on its condition. New ones are just under 500, maybe less with haggling.

And just buy a new road bike, trading relies on finding someone who is your size who has a bike you want, and wants a Langster in exchange.

Langster is a 54, I think. It would be a bit small for you.
I guess I'll just buy another bike. That seems to be the general m.o. around here anyway.
I might modify the Langster a bit and use it for tricks or polo in the future.

Buying bikes is nice, but selling bikes is great. I imagine it's a similar feeling when your children leave home, except you don't get paid for that.
