Gettin a wedge resection from my GP next week for an ingrown toenail! just removing the ingrown side of the nail??
Curious, does anyone know what mobility is like for the days after, if anyone has ever experienced this. Was hoping to get away for the weekend?:)

The last time I had it done I was walking around with only minimal discomfort. I wouldn't go climbing mountains or anything, and I expect it comes down to personal pain tolerance but it's not too bad once it's got a band aid or similar over it to stop your sock rubbing off the newly exposed part of your "nail bed" (I forget the right name for it).

I've had it down a few times, I just kept my foot up for the first day and then just keep it bandaged well and you will be grand:) Not a fan of the anasthetic (not sure if i spelt it right) though to be honest:(

Unfortunately/Fortunately when I got it done it was a doctor nearing retirement and he didn't believe in anaesthetic, just a dab of disinfectant and he started cutting. It hurt far less than I thought it would.
