Now that setanta sports 2 seem to be off the air, where do i get my weekly fix of live footy games? Any ideas?

they are on Setanta Sports 1 still. Watched the Bulldogs/Roos game there sunday anyway.

other than that tho, it is a pain in the ass relying on a dodgy station who only provide a couple of games each week, and seem to love Bulldogs and the Swans.

Maybe we should all e-mail the AFL asking them to make enquires about finding a new broadcaster for live games in the UK & ireland (Sky, ESPN etc.). Setanta going bust is a huge blow for the AFLs efforts to market the game internationally, as Setanta not only brodcast AFL here but also across North America too.

Hopefully, the AFL will find a new home soon.

yeah Eurosport show games on mponday evenings, and lately they have had the highlights package on before Setanta has, so they might go all out and take on live games.

It would be great if it were kept alive, how would we survive without Denis Cometti's commentating!

It's a far cry from the 4 games last year - the afl did have live streaming online for free last week. You could get the full match replays and all archive matches for free, until they find another provider in the UK.

3 games last year, they had the friday games added, but they are showing rugby league now instead. I'd say that was to cater more for the UK audience as they would find more of an interest there, but I wonder, how many Irish viewers would they get of rugby league?

the afl still have live streaming for the UK, cant get it in Ireland for free, but you can get all the archive stuff, which was not open without subscription. So you can still watch all match highlights and full replays the same day and day after respectively. Actually you can watch any archived footage, dates back a few years.
