Argh, got a 2000 Hyundai Accent a couple of weeks ago and the wipers have been kinda slow, I wasn't really worried about it but last night they died, just slowed to a halt. Now they dont move at all. The motors still going tho but making a really sick sound followed by a burning smell. Is this easy to fix does anyone know? Im not gonna have to pay hundreds for a new motor am I? :(
    Any help appreciated.

Do you park under a tree? A tree that maybe left sap on the windscreen?

Just got it sorted there anyway. Linkage was seized, burned out the motor. Got a new motor, freed up the linkage, working for now though i'll probably need a new linkage soon.
