Can anybody describe this author to me and recommend his books?

    Thanks,

He was a physicist, one of the founders of Quantum Electrodynamics.

Very well known, wrote a few pop-physics books.

If you are into the physics, start with QED - The Strange Theory of Light and Matter. If you are into the man himself, start with one of his collections of anecdotes.
