Farah Fawcett has reportedly dismissed her staff and said farewell to her friends as she prepares to die from cancer.
The Charlie's Angels actress said her goodbyes before flying to Germany, where she will undergo experimental treatment in a last-ditch attempt to battle the disease.
A friend told the Sunday Mirror: "Farrah is feeling very alone. She doesn't want friends to see her with no hair and she's coming to terms with her impending death. She has got rid of all her staff and she has told friends it is likely she won't come back. She is exhausted and very ill."
Fawcett, 62, was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 and was given the all-clear a year later following treatment. The cancer, which Fawcett calls the "terrorist inside my body", returned in 2007.

Another ailing declining star but at least she is not detailing and showcasing everything like a certain someone

Maybe it's because she has made her money & has no family financial worries when she passes on. Or has she?, it appears here that she will be doing just that.

TBH I didn't know she was suffering from cancer. I quite enjoyed Charlies Angels, she & her family have my sincere sympathies.

Actor Ryan O'Neal fears his longtime partner Farrah Fawcett's upcoming cancer battle TV special will be one of the last things the actress will see.

The Paper Moon star admits Fawcett's health has taken a turn for the worse and now she's hanging on for life as her German medics jet to Los Angeles to be by the actress' side.

And O'Neal reveals the videotaped footage that will make up Fawcett news special, Farrah's Story - which will air in America later this week (ends15May09) - could serve as a televised tribute.

In a taped interview to air as part of the Fawcett tribute, the actor says, "I think that she may have believed that she would survive and have a film document. That's not how it's going."

Much of the footage was shot by Farrah's close friend Alanah Stewart.

This is from a few days back but it had my husband and I in tears: http://www.rte.ie/arts/2009/0508/onealr.html (warning, is VERY, VERY emotional, this is why I am not posting the text).

Farrah Fawcett's family and friends are bracing for the worst as the actress clings to life after a three-year battle with anal cancer.

The former Charlie's Angels pin-up was re-admitted to hospital in California at the beginning of the week and reports suggest a priest was summoned to the actress' bedside in intensive care on Wednesday to read the devout Catholic her last rites.

And TV news show Extra has learned her 90-year-old father, James, is racing to his daughter's side, after being told she hasn't got long to live.

The 62-year-old actress' partner, Ryan O'Neal, has been trying to secure a temporary jail release for the couple's son Redmond - who is serving time in a rehab jail on drugs charges - so he can join family and friends at his mother's bedside.

In April, Fawcett was hospitalised for internal bleeding not directly related to her ongoing cancer battle. She recently learned the disease had spread to her liver and underwent chemotherapy.

Funny thing, dispite having little or no interest in her I actually felt a bit sad about this. She was never a favourite of mine, indeed she was the 'annoying one' in Charlies Angels when I was 12, and lets face it after she left her career never took off bar a couple of well received serious roles. Nonethless her passsing is another brick in the wall of my youth falling to the ground.

RIP - I did not see all the details of her illness when she was first diagnosed but admired the way she fought it when I found out about it - one of my best friends died to the same cancer so it is a particularly close issue to me. Ryan O Neill's devotion to her was very touching...I just hope that their son was with her when she passed away.

Late actress Farrah Fawcett will continue her charity work even after her tragic death - the star set aside part of her fortune to help victims of domestic abuse, according to reports.
The Charlie's Angels actress passed away on Thursday after losing her three-year battle with cancer at the age of 62.
Fawcett, who starred as an abused woman in 1984 TV movie The Burning Bed, remained dedicated to helping victims of domestic abuse right up until her death - and has provided money for her favourite charities in her will, according to Radar Online.
The website reports Fawcett's estate will donate thousands of dollars to US shelters for abused women.
