Problem with the new bike.

Ok so here's what happened for the 3rd time.
    Got new focus cayo 105.

Today while starting from lights I was on quite heavy gear, so a lot of force had to be applied to make bike moving and suddenly "snap" like noise as if something either jumped or got back in place with a loud noise.

You could feel it on the cranks, but checked them and nothing seems to be loose or anything. Maybe chain got off from teeth and then got back ?

Don't know really. Previously I was braking and still had some force on the pedals, kind of like in fixed gear bike would react. And then released brakes, added bit more force to pedals and "snap" same noise, same thing.

It's very random so I can't say if its chain or something else.

Everythings new, but the thing is bit annoying. Not sure if I should leave it like that or send it back to wiggle?

    What do you adivse ?

    Thanks

My bike sometimes does that in exactly the same circumstances, i.e taking off in a big gear. I've never worried about it, just probably the chain slipping because of the sudden strain.

Chain jumping (check for loose links too, look at the chain and make sure that everything seems to be in order, I had this once and it was one link slightly coming apart at one side). It could be a stiff link too pulling the rear derailleur cage vertically and then snapping it back hard. Get your gear indexing checked and also the chain, wiggle all the links and make sure that they move freely.

Apart from that it could be a dodgy freehub, but thats less likely or loose cones in the wheel, but they would be more noticeable during normal riding also, so far less likely.

You can often locate a stiff link quickly by rotating your pedals backwards, you will likely see a jump in the RD when the stiff link goes through.
