    That's good,

Pity still no cinema club or Pick N Mix but at least don't have to go up to dungarvan to see anything in 3-d

You sure? The website doesn't mention it and the only reference is the Ice Age schedule but it could just be a 2d version ...

The third Ice Age will be in 3-D? I look forward to seeing that.

Great news. The old coloured glasses 3D never worked for me, so I assumed the newer version wouldn't either. But I experienced it in a couple of theme parks a few weeks ago and it was brilliant. Looking forward to it now.

I'm guessing they got a new digital projector to go with the RealD technology cause I think it only works with digital projectors.

As far as I know none of the projectors in Storm are digital, I think the one is Wexford town is the only all digital cinema in the country at the moment, or it was when it opened anyway.

So should be cool to see not only RealD 3D but also a digital image. :)

Now if they can only put on a toilet seat in the men's jacks!

Digital Projector yes, quite the expensive bit of equipment alright, it's very interesting how 3D works i recommend looking it up for those interested. Seen a 3D trailer for "Flyboys" today, kids movie along the lines of pixar and dreamworks animation, but to be honest it really strained the eyes, the usage of 3D in it was just WAY too much. Other things like Monsters Vs Aliens was pretty cool. The glasses RealD 3D glasses, just look like a dodgy pair of sunglasses ridiculous on you, but you wont be the only one ! :P :)

how much is a ticket for a 3d film going to cost there?

While prices continue to fall across the country, Waterford continues to buck the trend with prices heading in the opposite direction.

Storm have raised the price for an adult to €7.80 before 5 and €9.80 for the evening shows.

I have never seen any 3d movie,

are they a gimmick for the kids? or can they add to a movie?

I don't mean to veer this off topic just looking for a single reply

Dungarvan just charged me €8 to see Transformers 2. Don't know what the evening charge is.

If a movie is made for 3D then it can look absolutely great. U23D for example made you feel like you were with some of the angles.

    3D prices are Adult-3D tickets at €12.00 after 5
    Adult-3D tickets at €10.00 before 5
    Child 3D tickets at €8.70
    FAMILY 3D tickets at €32.20
    Student 3D tickets at €8.50
Student Sat & sun 3D tickets at €9.00
    Senior 3D tickets at €8.50

Prices are roughly the same as 3D prices in Galway and Dublin, bit more expensive than Dungarvan though.

lol, fair enough, that's great news. Coraline was the first 3D movie (in Dungarvan) I'd seen and it was amazing :D

Ah I love being a student.
Don't know about the Dublin prices but the storm tickets for students are nearly a euro cheaper. 9.25 for a student ticket in the EYE cinema in Galway.
