    Just thinking ,
in stead of mucking up the main threads , may be a sub section for us noobs to bang on about our tiny bedrooms studios and how we are getting on -

kinda like the gear slutz - high end and low end ?

would this be a runner ?

you would be assuming that the posters in the section would be green so would be afforded a bt more patience , or can be avoided if need be .

( note im all for the cut and thrust of the main forum - but some newbies may be a little fragile )

I just feel that sometimes us noobs are breathing air above our pay scale in the main forum so to speak in some cases.

    any thoughts ?

Theoretically, yes, it's possible. Though I'm not sure that we have so many regular members as for it to be worthwhile. I only think that there are a handful of "pros" on the board and I think its nice to get some feedback from them, particularly because a lot of them started life as bedroom warriors.

Barely any people to begin with, the dance music production sub-forum is even too much kinda. Splitting it more will just make everything more inactive

I don't see enough demand for it.

Not much point when it's high end in the minority here ...

I think its a bad idea myself.... its not as if most of us guys who have a slightly larger place now dont still have or havent had bedroom based studios in the past.

Why cant we be involved in the chats?

I could understand if it was the pros who wanted us bedroom warriors to feck off & get our own sub forum, but if they're happy to keep answering our questions here, then I'd prefer to keep to the main forum.

The body count is to low tbh. Would be a good idea if the numbers were greater.

The pro's are all sound guys:D on here anyway so I never feel like i'm in the wrong place when asking some of my dumber questions.

I've never seen a question go unanswered.

    based on your recording goodness

What I like about Boards is that it is "a local forum for local people". It is no where near as comprehensive as some others, but everyone on here is Irish/based in Ireland more or less, and I like the community vibe to it. The Music Production forum to tick all the boxes as a knowledge base, but in terms of having a bit of a natter with some other lads, its a good spot.

Why dont we keep sub dividing sections until we are all in our very own sub divided nucleus. Just think about it, it makes perfect sense, no more communication or social interaction.
