Ok so the areas suggested were

Castletown house in kilare, I've never been but in the other thread, it is described as a nice walk with forrest & a place for the dogs to swim.

Killiney Hill - dogs can be allowed off lead here. (but would it be a good idea to have dogs offlead with so many and them not knowing each other?)

Devils glen wood in wicklow - lovely forrest walk, with various lengths for various fitness abilities and a waterfall at the end which the dogs (any maybe the brave people) can have a dip in.

Clonaslee in Laois - I've never been but it comes highly recommended in the other thread.

Which are would you prefer? 6 votes

Yes I am suprised, considering the interest in the other thread. Maybe people needed more choice in their areas or something.

I was wondering about this the other day and yes, my doggies and I are still up for it! All places are within driving distance for us!

Right well, thanks to the people who posted here in this thread. It's obviously very easy for some to get behind something until it actually starts to happen. Pages of responses from people saying they are interested in the other thread, only a few people here. I see similar happened with another thread too.

So I'm not going to bother pushing this anymore. However, I'm still actively looking for other dogs (and their owners) to go walking with, near Kildare in the evenings, and anywhere really on fridays, sat & sun. I think it would be great for my boy to be socialised with all kinds of everything and good for me to get out a bit more and meet new people. Since I became a dog owner, my social life isn't quite as good! PM me if you are looking for similar. :)

Not sure yet if I would be up for walking every weekend, but would the Curragh suit you by any chance. I'm in Newbridge and have two little Cavs that love to walk and love other dogs.

Dancing Daisy, yes I am near the curragh. How are your cavs with bigger dogs?

Elainepie, I'm not trying to organise this anymore. Not enough people interested.

Actually, maybe a mod wouldn't mind closing this thread please?

Definitely not afraid of bigger dogs anyhow. We have a black lab also, so they are well used to bigger dogs. They are quite excitable though, and I don't let them off the lead. They have terrible recall when excited.
