Apple Allowing Adult/18+ Apps

Gizmodo are reporting(Possibly NSFW!) that Apple are now allowing apps containing nudity in the app store.Yay!

i don't see why not, i mean they're gonna have age ratings and with parental controls it shouldn't be a problem. It may even make parents more likely to enable the parental controls on their children's iphones if they know there's Apps like these out there.

In a strange way, this could actually increase the popularity of the iPhone.

If it does happen, it is good that the iPhone is well established first, and that it didn't just become popular because of, well, porn.

Also, there should be a 'meh' option in the poll, I'm not against nuudiez on the iPhone but I wouldn't be subscribing to it either.

That's a good idea for an app right there, remember the "x-ray specs" they used to sell from the back of comics years ago, they were supposed to let you see through women's clothes, now we can have an app that lets you photograph someone but puts their head on a nekkid body - call it the iPhone X-Ray machine and you'll make a fortune!

As a developer, I'm a bit biased, but I don't think it's such a good idea.

The store is already full of junk apps. Something tells me porn apps will quickly become the new fart apps.

It's not a bad thing, but it makes it harder to find the good, useful stuff.

I'm not so sure. Just lob it all under, say, and "Adult" category and you are sorted.

Agreed, that will probably happen, but I'm talking more about the main Top 25 charts. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
