Where to buy veneer

Guys,

Where can i buy small quantities on veneer - im talking maybe 1x20x100 - not bothered what wood. - For seperating layers on segmented turned vases and bowls.

I tried cutting same on my bandsaw and had a mare !!!

Never bought veneer off them yet but they seem to have a good stock,great for turning stuff too

http://www.strahan.ie/ They sell in strips about 10ft and about 14inches wide. I got some mahogany a while back which was the cheapest they had. Probably get some bits with broken edges cheap though.

I used to have big problems problems cutting veneers on my bandsaw until I discovered these and bought one:-

0.6mm veneers out of mahogany is the thinnest I've gone. No prob. Great blade. Laguna Tools out in California do a blade called the Resaw King supposed to be even better but its a bit pricey.
