Have any of the normal run of the mill students in Maynooth ever wandered into the sacred quarters and just stood and basked in the glory of it all...how fantastic it it...it??? It's just unreal...I'm dumbfounded every time i walk through it!! (This coming from someone who doesn't even go to Mass on Xmas Day!) I love it!!!

I was sitting in the back garden today reading George Orwells 'Homage To Catalonia' and he's talking about Barcelona after the social revolution.

All the churches property was basically either

    A) Burnt to the ground
    B) Turned into something else

I hope that after our social revolution the angry mob arrive on our South Campus in all their secularist rage with pitchforks and petrol, take one look at the place and go "Jesus lads, we can't wreck that" and just walk away.

In other words: Its beautiful over there.

South Campus is a gloomy mofo when there's ****ty weather. It is beautiful on a sunny day. I'd prob have an attendance greater than >30% if it was sunny there all the time. Only there for the year, those sunny days will make me miss it:(

I get a feeling of permanence from the south campus, its like all the buildings in the north campus are thrown up, and wont stand the test of time.....

(there were panels missing from the JH for most the year, and its only 4/5 years old at this stage)

south campus is lovely...it's great if your really stressed to just take a walk around the place. always calms me down a bit! plus, taking a day off when it's sunny just to lie on the pitches behind loftus is always nice :)
