Mapping Runs

Can anyone recommend a good, accurate website for mapping my runs. I've tried mapmyrun.com and jogwalkrun.net and they've both been way off regarding the distances ran. Like tonight I ran for 61mins and was guestimating my route to have been about 11k. Then I look up the route on jogwalkrun.net and it says it's 10 miles! I wish!! A little frustrating after having taken the time to map the run out...

Really i found map my run to be spot on even compared it to a garmin one of the lads had and there was a miniscule difference and also coincides with my average pace

I find it strange that you find mapmyrun inaccurate. When I want to find a new route, I plot it using mapmyrun and then wear my Garmin when I'm running and it's normally spot on, give or take a few yards.

I've found walkjogrun fine while i've been using it for the last year and more. A few runs i've done tot up to nearly the same mileage on my bike meter so i can't complain bout the site.

mapmyrun is based on Google maps which originally was used for military purposes it is accurate to 99.9999%

Are you sure you mapped the route accuratley? I have to use the satelite view sometimes to see which way I went.

Suggest you invest in a gps watch which will do the mapping stuff for you...

I just tried walkjogrun and mapped the same route I have mapped on mapmyrun and have measured in the car etc and they're identical.... are you sure you didn't click away off the route by mistake and add in a few extra miles? That did just happen to me on walkjogrun when I went to click in the tool bar at the right..it added a point off to the right of my route. Other wise  no idea why they'd be different.

I use map my run as well which I've found really good...
Not sure why it would be working differently for you....

Post a link to your run. I can measure it in Garmin Mapsource, which is very accurate.
