Problem with ATI graphics card

Hello. I recently reformatted my computer. The operating system I use is Windows XP home edition. I used the drivers and utilities disc to extract the driver for the ATI Hyper Memory PCI Express X16 (DIV / VGA / TV Out) Radeon X300 SE.

I have two monitors as I use my computer mainly for video editing.

This is not the first time I've reformatted the computer but it is the first time I've had problems with the video card. I can't get into the ATI control centre to adjust the screens on my two monitors.

I've gone into the XP control panel and went into display on the appearances and themes option. I've gone into settings but what ever I try under screen resolution doesn't give me the same result I had before I reformatted the computer.

    Any help greatly appreciated! ;)

After You installed Xp You probably updated, hence Xp with 3 service packs is nowhere like the Xp You had when You first used the old driver. Don't use the driver that You got on disk, its dated, use the latest from their site. Save the driver for the future as they're dropping support for that old X300 very soon, they've already done the first step in moving it to legacy devices which don't get updated drivers (notice its 9.3, ie march 09) as often as newer cards do (latest is 9.6, ie jun 09)
