Mark Jacobs is gone as of yesterday, and Bioware founder Ray Muzyka takes over the new EA MMO section, formed from Mythic and Bioware.

Not too sure if its good news or bad news yet, Bioware are a great company and hopefully Muzyka can sprinkle some magic pixie dust on WAR to help solve a lot of the games problems.

As for Mark Jacobs, well cant say if he was detrimental to WAR at all, I'm not privy to Mythics inner workings, but one persons vision can lead a game badly if its not clear or open to constructive commentary (just look at Godager in AoC, after he left it turned a big corner and is shaping up well).

    Time will tell.

Seems Jacobs had been on sabbatical for the last month. An odd thing to do in the run up to the first live expansion being released. He doesn't appear to have gone voluntarily. Ray Muzyka has apparently also already addressed the Mythic employees about their plans. It suggests good things so far.
