Anyone here ever been to Palestine? Is it difficult to get in. I'm thinking of going to Nablus. Can you get in from Jordan? Ideally, I wouldn't spend any time in israel but I think it's probably the only way?

Is it easy enough get in without getting your passport stamped? I wouldn't want to be kept out of some other countries cos I'd an israeli stamp on my passport.

I've been a few times and also been refused a few times. The refusals were from when i was on aid ships and Israeli ships would escourt the ship to a third party country even though they had approved the arrival of the ship earlier.

I've heard recently that they are beginning to stamp your passport. But apparently it is only if you don't specify before handing it to them that you do not want a stamp. Get it on the immigration card instead. You can cross into the West Bank from Jordan at the Alanbey bridge border i think it's called but that is entirely controlled by Israel. So it's the same as flying to Tel Aviv. It would probably be cheaper to fly to Tel Aviv too.

I'm not sure what your reasons are for going but don't wear any pro looking Palestinian stuff when going through Israel. You will be detained for hours or maybe days and grilled. I have had to put make up on a socialst tattoo i have after hearing stories from others. And likewise don't wear any Jewish looking things in Palestine. Being from Ireland i'll guess you ain't Jewish and what i just said is all common sense you probably already know about since you are considering going there. But be prepared to be shocked at the treatment and possibly being caught up in military excursions. The political climate changes on a whim there.

Thanks, looks like it'll be a bit expensive for me to go in the near future but I might get there next year or after. o
