    Hi All,

Just planning a car journey for the weekend. I haven’t been in Longford for a few years. Does it have a full and proper By-Pass these days?

    Thanks In Advance

No!!!!! The N5 runs straight through the town but the N4 Dublin road is bypassed though. It depends on where the OP is going but its not a "full and proper bypass"!

If you're going from Edgerstown( or mostrim or whatever it's called) to Newtownforbes there's a couple of ( or 3) roundabouts, else you've to go through the town.
    The N4's a WS2 road.

Depends - the N4 is fully bypassed, but the N5 still disects the town. Traffic can be a c@#% in the peak hours so, if you must use the N5 try to avoid Friday daytime.

    BTW Carawaystick, it's Edgeworthstown.
