It looks like Eircom have no plans to enable broadband on our local exchange, despite the fact that every other exchange in the immediate area (12 in total) has already been or will be enabled by the end of this year. Is there any appeals process to have Eircom enable the exchange?

You might look at the Williamstown campaign. Even though they were on the original list there are several cases of exchanges that have been enabled that were not on any list. You will have to make a lot of noise, provide solid evidence to Eircom that there is demand, and pull every string available to you. There is a new CEO coming in, so it is a good time to press your case. You may still fail.

thanks clohamon. So next question then - is it worth all that effort to get the exchange enabled?

(There are 2 local wireless broadband suppliers who do service the area at €100 or €200 installation + €35 / €40 a month for 1mb download. Eircoms equivalent is €25 per month, not incl. line rental.)
