RAM Upgrade query

Now I'm faced with a problem, as I thought it was straight forward enough to replace it, but my problem is buying it. I thought it'd be easy enough to search on-line for the appropriate RAM but there seems to be so many options I'm lost.

Can anyone point me to the appropriate RAM on-line?

I'm going to install it myself as I've been told its pretty easy to do, but I have someone who can help me if required, I just don't want to be hassling him by asking him to pick out the RAM for me too.

On a quick initial search I found this for the "HP-COMPAQ Presario Notebook CQ60Z Series". They have a 2GB Adata DDR2 SO-DIMM (667MHz) module for 29euros.

Or if you visit Crucial.com you can run their program which will scan your system and tell you what speed RAM you have, and what it can be upgraded to.

underneath your laptop there is your service number and your model number.

What is your model number?'

From that you can find what type of RAM is available for your machine. Price-shop other places than HP, of course.

Thanks Overheal. I'll try that also later when I get home to it. I've gotten a few recommendations of where to buy, but I won't mention them on-thread because it might be against the Charter.
