i'm wondering if anybody can help me regarding these balls. is there anywhere in the dublin or kildare area that sells these as lake balls (Grade whatever)..i wanted to get my hands on a few but i'm not daft enough to buy the brand new ones when they could be lost in a matter of shots.

    Cheers.

i've not got paypal or a credit card and neither do any of my family. i don't really trust ebay for a start and well without them things it's not possible to buy online.

American golf in Tallaght sell "Practice" Pro V's for 20 for 12 balls. They are proper Pro V's just stamped with Practise because of a law suit against teitlist!

They have cosmetic flaws and thus are legal for competition play. (unlike XXX out balls which have physical defects meaning that they may be non-confirming and thus are illegal in comps)

Instead of getting a credit card why not get a 3v card from 3v.ie they can be used on ebay and any site that accepts visa. You can find some great deals on golf balls on sites like golfballsrus.com

lol, fair enough. Guess I just automatically assume that everyone else is as used to purchasing online as I am. :D

btw, I bought from an online business, not ebay.

Best of luck on the hunt.

Titlesit lost some legal battle with Callaway about the patent involved in the design of the Prov1 (2008 version and before I think) so the 2009 version is different.
What this has to do with PRACTICE stamped on them I have no idea, unless they are selling off the old ones as Practice balls? But I would guess that still violates the patent.

    more here

Pretty much all golf shops seem to stock them now. Try any McGuirks, Halpenny, American Golf and they'll have them.

I'm assuming you have a phone here;), but give Halpenny in Lucan a call to see if they have them. Would settle it one way or the other.

Elverys have them. Think it was 24 yo yos for 12. Lake Pro V's. This was in the Dun Laoghaire store anyway.

If you're buying in bulk. PM me - I can get them cheaper from them!

I believe they had to sell off all pre 2009 stock at reduced prices so they stamped them with Practise! I bought a few boxes and closely inspected them. Only 2-3 so far have had a small "defect" on them, the rest were perfect.
