Whacked my tooth last night

Suffered a clash of heads (stupidly) last night, while sober I hasten to add. Anyway gave myself the customary bloody/fat lip and now my front incisor is giving me grief. It's not exactly severely painful but does feel a lot more fragile than it's neighbour and while it doesn't look like it's gonna fall out any time soon it's definately not as steady as it was yesterday. I can constantly feel it there, if you know what I mean. Lets just say I'll be avoiding taking a bite out of any apples for the foreseeable future...

Anywho, just worried about this baby going black or falling out... do I have anything to worry about?

you may be very lucky and it may be alright. but if the trauma was enough to give you a fat lip, my guess is the tooth will need treatment. very often the nerve 'dies' and you would need root canal treatment. In cases like this the tooth gets progressively more painful after a few days. but it could be after a few weeks or even months. and sometimes it isn't painful at all but still is infected and needs treatment.

go see the dentist and get it checked out

Thanks George, it did get a bit more painful over the next few days and the bottom teeth also got in on the act, but all seems to be well now- no more pain and seems to be hanging in there.
