Probation Act Twice?

Is it possible to be giving the probation act a second time if the offence committed is differenct from the first one?

My brother was giving the probation act when he was 18 for being drunk in public (was his only time in trouble)

He's know 22 and was found with a quater of cannabis on him (first time in trouble since 18) He's convinced he will definitely have a criminal record that may affect future travel plans because he has already been giving the probation act once before. Thought I try find more out about it here.

    Thanks for reading.

You can be given probation act several times.

For a Section 3 MDA simple possession I would prepare for a criminal conviction im afraid

Folks - Legal advice is not allowed. I am not going to close this, but be warned.

Thanks for that, would a solicitor be required for the court date?

I'd have thought it is preferable to have a solicitor available to you. An MDA offence can really turn on who is sitting in court that day i.e., the judge. Even though it might be a minor offence a second offender could find themselves in a jam.
