While some would argue the city has a lot in common with the Colombian capital already, this article shows that it's not all drugs and car bombs!

We've already got the drugs and the gangs shooting the arses off each other, why can't we go with some of their ideas on cycling!

In Ireland we have already pioneered the dual use of traffic lights and roundabouts, I don't think we're ready for any more out of the box thinking just yet.

    Anyways, here's a video on it: http://www.streetfilms.org/archives/ciclovia/

just back from bogota a few weeks ago. It really is amazing to see the city on sundays with all the bikes out. They also have both police and wardens at the major junctions to ensure bikes get to flow freely and to stop any traffic. They also have a great cycle track running through the centre of the city that is raised up off the road so there is no chance of having to share it with a car or bus

The weather in Ireland is too bad for mass cycling.

Is that some kind of weird joke? I would have thought you have been around the cycling forum long enough to still think that...
